The Missouri Valley Conference announced Monday, along with the St. Louis Sports Comissiosn, that its postseason men’s basketball tournament — “Arch Madness” — will remain through 2015 at the Scottrade Center, the host site since 1995.
That announcement came in conjunction with another that the 22,000-seat Scottrade Center will also stage preliminary NCAA tournament games in 2014, welcoming eight teams to St. Louis for second- and third-round games.
The NCAA named a number of 2014 and 2015 tournament sites Monday morning, adding to the list Evansville’s Ford Center for the 2014 Division II Elight Eight. The city last hosted that event in 2002 at Roberts Stadium.
The MVC women’s basketball tournament will remain at Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo., through 2014, the league also said Monday.
