—Also tomorrow: more on the Missouri Valley Conference’s All-Academic Award. Up against much larger athletic departments, UE won’t realistically ever win the MVC’s All-Sports Award, so this was a pretty big accomplishment for student-athletes during the 2011-2012 academic year.
—After a report that said otherwise, UE athletic director John Stanley confirmed the school isn’t discussing a move from the Missouri Valley Conference.
—Rivals.com recruiting analyst Glenn Elrod tweeted Wednesday night that Jaylen Shaw will take an official visit to Evansville this weekend. Shaw, a class of 2013 point guard from South Carolina, has offers to High Point, Presbyterian, Radford and Winthrop, according to his Rivals profile.
