—When UE plays at Northern Iowa on Wednesday, the Panthers will be coming off likely their biggest win of the season, a 70-60 victory over Illinois State on the Redbirds’ home court. —Next up for the Aces after Northern Iowa comes Wichita State which, despite a number of injuries, continues to roll. At 14-1 the Shockers have the best record of any team not in the top 25, though CBS Sports included Wichita State in its Top 25 (and one) published Sunday night – possibly a prelude to Monday’s new set of national polls.
—The UE women, who are off until a game Sunday against Southern Illinois, led MVC favorite Creighton by 16 points on Saturday before falling by double digits themselves. What happened? The Bluejays hit a few 3-pointers.
