UE announces USI game time; tickets for sale Monday

The University of Evansville’s Oct. 27 men’s basketball exhibition will tip off at 7:05 p.m. at the Ford Center, the school announced Sunday.

Tickets for the Vectren Community Classic between the two hometown teams go on sale at 8:30 a.m. Monday for $18 in the upper bowl and $14 in the lower bowl. Fans can purchase tickets in person at UE’s Carson Center or by calling (812)488-ACES.

UE and USI will meet for the first time in four years, continuing a rivalry that’s consistently produced close games.

The Aces needed double overtime in November 2008, when they won 71-67 in front of more than 9,000 people at Roberts Stadium. UE also won 77-75 in 2006 and 88-75 in 2004.

The UE and USI women will also play an exhibition against each other. The Aces and Screaming Eagles meet Nov. 3 at the Ford Center, the first game between the two programs since the 1980s.
