–The women’s soccer team took on Xavier last night, falling to the Musketeers, 1-0. The Aces were issued a red card in the 22nd minute and played the rest of the game a man down. Xavier took advantage of that in the first half, outshooting UE, 9-3, but the Aces fought back, putting five shots on goal in the second half.
–Cross country runner Kelby Jenkins was named the first Vectren Student-Athlete of the week for the 2013-14 academic year. AcesTV has an interview with her here, and I wrote a story about her leading up to the start of her senior year in last week’s paper.

Times for the men’s and women’s games have yet to be determined. The athletic department is still waiting on TV scheduling to be finalized before any times are released.
