–Though his goal wasn’t the winning tally vs. Loyola, freshman Landon Souder scored the first of five goals for the Aces on Saturday, pushing his weekly total to two goals—his first two of his career. His first goal came against Kentucky last Tuesday in the ninth minute, and Saturday’s was an equalizer in the 37th minute. Souder won MVC Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
–The men’s soccer team also owns an RPI in the top-100 this week, coming in with an RPI of 90. The Aces still have to play Indiana in a non-conference game before resuming a tough conference schedule.
–The men’s golf team is wrapping up the Dayton Flyer Invitational today after a good showing in yesterday’s round. The Aces stand in fifth after the first day of competition, just five strokes out of the lead. Quinn Vilneff was tied for second place after the first round, posting a two-under 68.
–The MVC volleyball weekly notebook is up, which highlights senior Rachel TenHoor’s record-breaking performance in the section recapping the Aces’ weekend. Check out how TenHoor led UE to its second MVC victory with her performance here.
–More basketball preseason polls are circulating now that we’re getting closer to the start of the season. This time, it’s College Sports Madness that’s released its MVC women’s preseason poll. The website has Mallory Ladd as a part of its preseason first-team all-conference.
