–The men’s soccer team heads to Bloomington tonight to take on the defending national champions. Evansville will play IU in its last non-conference game of the season, looking to rebound from a 1-0 loss to Missouri State Saturday night. The Hoosiers, on the other hand, are looking to get their first win in over a month to snap the worst losing streak in school history. The Indiana Daily Student, IU’s student newspaper, previewed the game in today’s edition.
I’ll be at the game in Bloomington tonight, so follow @ECP_Thomas for Twitter updates during the match.
–The women’s soccer team is also heading into non-conference play again after two consecutive Missouri Valley Conference losses, but not until this weekend. I caught up with head coach Krista McKendree to talk about what’s been going wrong for the team in the past two matches.
–Coming off an impressive feat, it’s no surprise that Kelby Jenkins won MVC Female Runner of the Week this week. Jenkins set the school record in the 5k at the Evansville Invitational Saturday, running a 17:27. The old record was 17:30.

–The women’s golf team placed second at the Dayton Fall Invitational that wrapped up yesterday. Kayla Katterhenry bested her first-round score by seven strokes to card a 74, the lowest round for any Ace at the event. The freshman finished tied for 11th with three other participants, including UE golfer Dana Hayden. Cathy Doyle was the top finisher for the Aces, finishing seventh.
