UE News and Notes for Oct. 4, 2012

—The UE women’s basketball problem will host a pancake breakfast Oct. 20 to show off the new Fifth Third Practice Facility and give folks of all ages a chance to meet Oties Epps and the Aces. Click here for more information.

—Indiana coach Tom Crean swung by Evansville today not only to see Bosse High School’s JaQuan Lyle but also Harrison High School guard Ernie Duncan and his twin brothers, Stanley and Everett. Ernie Duncan reopened his recruitment last Friday, breaking his commitment from UE.

The Missouri Valley Conference released its 2012-2013 TV package, which includes a league-record 48 game broadcasts. Three of those games involve UE and possibly more. Creighton blogger Patrick Marshall has a full list of MVC games on TV this season.

—UE came out with its men’s basketball prospectus this week. Check out some highlights from it here and download your own copy.

NBC tabbed Jim Crews’ Saint Louis squad No. 22 in its early top 25. The former UE coach Crews took over for Rick Majerus in August when Majerus experienced some health problems.

—UE sports on Friday: Cross country at Tennessee Tech, volleyball at Southern Illinois and women’s tennis at the MVC Individual Championships in Wichita, Kan.
