MVC TV announces three UE telecasts

In what should be the last preseason national TV announcement regarding UE men’s basketball, the Missouri Valley Conference on Friday made a couple more broadcasts and game times official.

UE will have three games broadcast this season on the MVC TV Network, which is comprised on FOX Sports Midwest, FOX Sports Indiana, FOX Sports Kansas City, FOX College Sports, Comcast SportsNet Chicago and ESPN3.com.

—Saturday, Jan. 5: Southern Illinois at Evansville, 8 p.m.
—Saturday, Jan. 19: Evansville at Indiana State, 7 p.m.
—Saturday, Jan. 26: Evansville at Illinois State, 7 p.m.

“It’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since the league made the decision to bring its television network in-house, but it was the right move,” said MVC commissioner Doug Elgin.

This adds to already announced telecasts Nov. 10 at at Notre Dame (ESPN3.com), Drake at Evansville on Feb. 10 (ESPNU or ESPN3.com) and Creighton at Evansville on Feb. 16 (ESPN U).

There’s also UE’s out-of-conference road game as part of the BracketBusters Challenge that could be picked up in February, and CBS Sports airs the MVC Tournament’s championship game.
