UE hosting ‘Late Night Madness’ student event

UE will host a student-only men’s basketball kickoff event in the Carson Center after Friday’s volleyball match against Missouri State.

Like with Thursday’s Hoopfest at the Ford Center, a dunk contest and meet-and-greet is planned for players. According to the flyer circulating this week, there will also be a players-students basketball game.

I won’t be able to make it (high school football playoffs start Friday night). But of UE students I ask one thing: If anyone is dunked on, get video.

For all other fans, Thursday’s Hoopfest is free and open to the public. It starts at 6 p.m., and I’m told the event should feature some new wrinkles compared to years past.
