Women’s coach Oties Epps (@CoachEppsUE) tweeted this picture Wednesday before the Aces’ film session in the Fifth Third Practice Facility.
—UE will feature a new voice and some new wrinkles to Thursday’s Hoopfest. Click here for all the details and look for a complete story in tomorrow’s paper. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the event starts at 7 p.m.
—If you can’t make it to Hoopfest, check back here during the festivities tomorrow or follow on Twitter (@ECP_Lintner) for some updates from the scrimmages, dunk contest and 3-point challenge.
—An interesting men’s soccer match tonight went into a delay around 8:40 with UE leading 1-0 on Nate Opperman’s goal. SIU Edwardsville coaches waited out storms until 10 p.m. — the latest possible opportunity — before the game was called an Aces victory.
—The women’s soccer team got goals from Abby Springer, Kayla Smith and an Indiana State defender in its 3-0 win over the Sycamores. The Aces have lost just one of their last seven and are in contention for the MVC title.
—As of yesterday, Notre Dame’s single-game basketball tickets are on sale starting at $15. The Aces open at Notre Dame on Nov. 10. The game will also be broadcast on ESPN3.com. Tip time is TBA.
—Two UE opponents — Creighton (No. 15) and the Irish (No. 23) — made the preseason USA Today Coaches Poll released Wednesday. Murray State and Colorado State received votes.
