—Now fewer than two days away from UE-USI, here’s a story from today’s paper that starts coverage leading up to the game. I’ll have a story in Friday’s paper broaching the subject of why the Aces and Screaming Eagles don’t play each other every year. Should generate some discussion. I’ll also have a UE-centric preview in Saturday’s paper, and Courier & Press USI reporter Dan Korb will have something on the Eagles.
—Not sure exactly how I’ll do live coverage during most men’s basketball games this season, but your best bet for updates/interactivity on Saturday will be through Twitter. Follow me at @ECP_Lintner.
—Somehow, some way, the UE women’s soccer team won the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship. The Aces needed a Drake loss tonight to clinch it. Look for more, plus comments from coach Krista McKendree, in Friday’s paper.
—Senior Colt Ryan participated in a pretty neat social media endeavor today, called a Google Hangout, through the MVC. You can check out his video chat and most of what he had to say (transcribed for you) here.
—UE’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee will host a Halloween-themed kids event Sunday afternoon at the Carson Center. I wrote about it today and explained exactly what SAAC does.
—Here’s the full story from Wednesday night’s IU-UE men’s soccer match, which the Hoosiers won 2-0.
