With his 10-point performance Tuesday at Bradley, UE senior Ned Cox hit 1,000 points on the nose, becoming the 45th player in the Aces’ program history to do so.
Cox reached the milestone behind another consistent scoring effort. He’s hit at least eight points in all but two games this season and has scored in double figures 16 out of 24 contests.
Last year’s Missouri Valley Conference Sixth Man of the Year, Cox has done it this season while starting every contest.
The 6-foot-1 guard averages an even 11 points, second on the team, and is an 81 percent free throw shooter.
If Cox continues his scoring pace with at least eight games left in his career, he could finish on the top 35 of UE’s all-time scoring list.
