After missing most of last Saturday’s game at Wright State and all of Wednesday’s victory at Wichita State, UE senior Ned Cox returned to practice Thursday and Friday.
But will be play at 4 p.m. Saturday when the Aces host Indiana State — on senior day, no less?
“We’ll just have to see how he comes out of practice today,” said coach Marty Simmons.
Cox recently aggravated a case of plantar fasciitis but wasn’t wearing visible braces or bandaging Friday when the Aces took to the floor.
UE’s second-leading scorer is listed among the Aces’ probable starters for Saturday’s game. If Cox can play, Simmons said he hasn’t decided yet how much, and in what role that will be.
“We’ll see,” Simmons said. “You’re way ahead of me. We’ll just have to wait and see. We just feel real fortunate that he was able to come back to practice.”
