UE senior Colt Ryan scored six points on 2-for-6 shooting — both makes from beyond the 3-point line — in his Portsmouth Invitational Tournament debut Thursday night.
Unfortunately for Ryan’s Portsmouth Sports Club team, that effort came in a 91-64 loss to Rober Brown’s Restaurant. Six players scored in double figures for the opposition, led by LaSalle senior Ramon Galloway’s 18 points and eight rebounds.
The 6-foot-5 forward Ryan also snagged two rebounds, made a steal and turned it over three times in 21 minutes played.
So Ryan’s squad moves into the losing side of the bracket, but there’s still three games guaranteed for UE’s all-time leading scorer.
The second matchup comes at 2:15 p.m. today against Sales Systems, Ltd., which features Butler’s Rotnei Clarke, Murray State’s Ed Daniel and Long Beach State’s James Ennis.
The PIT plans to live stream all games both online and through a cell phone app built for the iPhone and Android devices.
