UE News and Notes for Nov. 20, 2013

–The men’s and women’s basketball team both play tonight at the Ford Center in another doubleheader. The women will take on Ball State at 5:30 p.m., as both teams are looking to rebound from two consecutive losses, and the men host Valparaiso in the second of three home games for the squad this week. –Two women’s soccer players were named to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete first team on Tuesday. Sophomore Allie Arguello and senior Stephanie Thompson earned the honors, each boasting a 4.0 GPA in addition to starting for the Aces.

–As reported earlier, the women’s basketball team signed South Bend Adams guard Taloni Reese to an NLI last Thursday. Reese averaged 11.5 points per game for Adams last season.

–Lots of non-basketball recruiting news: The volleyball team signed four players to NLIs yesterday, the softball team received an NLI from California product Haylee Tracy for the 2014-15 season, and the women’s swimming team got a commitment from Oklahoma swimmer Kasey Rein today.
