Clark spent 11 years in the minors before getting the nod. MLB.com wrote a good story about Clark’s emotional reaction to the call-up. He pinch-hit for catcher Jason Castro in the eighth inning, striking out in his only at-bat.
Special moment for Cody Clark, who made his ML debut as a pinch-hitter in the 8th (struckout). Stays in the game at catcher in the 9th.
