—There’s been good and bad, but the good only in stretches and the bad the result in each of UE’s games against high-profile opponents so far. The Aces will see more of that competition in Missouri Valley Conference play, where nine of the league’s 10 teams have winning records right now.
—I recorded a brief segment along with a few other MVC beat writers for the first MVC Hoops Show, which you can listen to online as well as on WUEV 91.5 FM in Evansville when it airs each week during league play.
—A bit outdated, but I’m just now finding it. UE coach Marty Simmons appeared on Dan Dakich’s radio show last Friday ahead of the Butler game. Simmons and Dakich, of course, go way back.

—There hasn’t been any conference realignment news on the situation since Friday — perhaps the Catholic schools are breaking for Christmas — but Pete Thamel of Sports Illustrated said Creighton essentially has one foot out the MVC door. What that means for UE and the rest of the league here.
