UE News and Notes for Nov. 24, 2013

Aside from the men’s basketball game last night, there was plenty of UE sporting events going on. Here’s a rundown of what happened:

–The women’s basketball team got its first win over Austin Peay in program history as the Aces defeated the Lady Govs, 65-50. Junior Mallory Ladd recorded her third consecutive double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds and freshman guard Sara Dickey continued to be one of UE’s best offensive weapons, tallying 19 points in the win.

–Despite an ankle injury Friday night, Rachel TenHoor was able to set the program record for hitting percentage in a season. TenHoor finished with .321 while the Aces dropped their final match of the season to Indiana State, 3-1.

–The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are done with two of three days of competition at the House of Champions meet in Indianapolis. Full results can be found here.
