—The UE men’s soccer team will wear pink jerseys tonight at its 7 p.m. match against Marshall in honor of breast cancer awareness. Called the “Kick for a Cure” match, UE will hold silent and Chinese auctions at Arad McCutchan Stadium to benefit the Greater Evansville Susan G. Komen Foundation. —In a week’s time, Indiana, Illinois and Kansas State all contacted former UE commit and Harrison High School guard Ernie Duncan about his recently reopened recruitment.
—The UE volleyball team dropped to 2-5 in Missouri Valley Conference play Friday with a 3-0 (25-10, 25-15, 25-18) loss at Southern Illinois. The Aces play road matches at Northern Iowa and Bradley next weekend.
—UE won both individual and team scoring in men’s and women’s cross country races Friday at Tennessee Tech. Junior Kelby Jenkins won her third women’s race of the season, and senior Cody Stein notched his first victory of the year for the Aces men.
—Sophomore Natasha James led the UE women’s tennis team on day one of the MVC individual championships Friday in Wichita, Kan. James earned a singles win over Northern Iowa’s Krissy Lankelma 7-5, 6-1. She then teamed with junior Kelsey Costales to knock off Bradley 8-3 in doubles.
—Despite a 2-6-3 overall record, the UE women’s soccer team is tied for first in the MVC entering Sunday’s 1 p.m. road match at Drake. The Bulldogs are 10-3-1 but also 1-0-1 in MVC play and have won nine of their last 10. Click here to follow the match’s live stats.
