—Kind of a slow weekend around here, so I assembled links to Twitter accounts for members of UE’s basketball programs.
—The men’s soccer team had its two-match losing streak snapped by Marshall Saturday on “Kick for a Cure” night, a cause the Aces have supported since Mike Jacobs became head coach. UE is 6-4-0 entering conference play Wednesday at Missouri State.
—Drake scored a golden goal in the 95th minute to beat the UE women’s soccer team 1-0. The loss marked the Aces’ first in five matches — they’ve tied three and won one — and moves them to 2-7-3 and 1-1-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play. Drake is now 11-3-1, 2-0-1 MVC.
—Sophomore Natasha James and partner junior Kelsey Costales fell 8-4 to Northern Iowa’s Krissy Lankelma and Phoebe Walker in their flight one doubles title match at the Missouri Valley individual championships. James and sophomore Emily Richardson finished third in their singles flights.
—Harrison High School graduate and UE freshman Alex Turner paced the Aces’ men’s golf team this weekend at the John Dallio Memorial in Chicago. Turner finished 31st overall among 81 players and UE 12th out of 15 teams. The men’s and women’s teams both play at Butler on Monday.
