–For his game-winning goal with 11 seconds left against Eastern Illinois, sophomore forward Faik Hajderovic was named to the TopDrawersoccer.com National Team of the Week.

–Freshman golfer Kayla Katterhenry is leading the Aces women’s golf team again. Katterhenry is tied for 13th after the first day at SIU Edwardsville Intercollegiate. The tournament ends today with another round of 18.

–Taylor Brand’s run as Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week ended this week, but that’s not a bad thing — teammate Tatiana Pagan earned the honor this week. In fact, Evansville swept the weekly conference awards, as sophomore Kayla Smith was named Offensive Player of the Week and Simone Busby was named Goalkeeper of the Week.

–From around the MVC: Wichita State reached a revised contract extension for men’s basketball head coach Gregg Marshall yesterday. His salary will increase to $1.6 million beginning Nov. 9 and will increase to $1.75 million in April 2014. With last season’s rollover, Marshall is under contract until 2020.
