There’s that old saying about how walking uphill in the snow builds character.

We’ll see what pushing a bus through the white stuff does for UE’s women’s basketball team.

The Aces faced that reality on the way to their shootaround Thursday morning in Wichita, Kan.

Tweeted Dustin Hall, UE’s assistant sports information director: “Just another day on a road trip with #UE women’s hoops. Pushing the bus through 8″ of snow.”

Really?

“Literally pushing it,” Hall added.

(Women’s basketball play-by-play radio announcer Mike Radomski uploaded the above video.)

Snow started falling Wednesday morning, prompting Kansas governor Sam Brownback to declare a state of emergency for all 105 counties. Anywhere from 12-15 inches are expected by Thursday night.

The storm forced Wichita State to cancel classes, but the Aces and Shockers are still set to tip at 7:05 p.m. in the Koch Center.

UE’s team did, by the way, make it safely to the arena for its shootaround.
